Tips to Reformatting a Laptop

Laptop computers have made it easy to process data and carry work on-the-go. These mobile computers are our mobile digital companions, as they can be carried along where ever we go, be it formal or informal outings. But with time, our laptops are bound to operate slowly and inefficiently due to malicious software infections or overgrown system registries. It is advisable to carry out periodic formatting of your Laptop's hard drives, especially when it slows down or operates inefficiently.

The process of formatting a laptop’s hard drive is a bit cumbersome and risky, especially if you aren’t quite experienced in this regard. One wrong step will make you lose valuable data, even worse, crash your system completely. So before you even begin the Laptop’s hard drive formatting process, it’s advisable you have all the necessary tools handy. Your window installation disk or recovery disk should be within your immediate reach. You’ll need them to format your hard drives as well as reinstall Windows.

Step 1

Check for your windows product key, because such details will be required at a certain stage during windows installation. If you are not sure about where to find your windows product key, you can check the sticker at the bottom of your computer. But this method of checking the Windows product key mostly apply to laptops bought with Windows OS preinstalled in them.

Step 2

You need to ascertain whether you have the right tools within reach to reinstall windows. The most important tools you’ll need to execute your Laptop’s Windows OS reinstallation are the recovery disk or Windows installation disk. It should be noted that many laptops don’t come packed with the Windows installation disk or recovery disk. However, they usually come with a special hard drive partition for that purpose. You'll need to confirm that the special partition works by pressing either the "F8" or "F10" keys during startup. To be on the safe side, it's advisable that you burn the system files of the special hard drive partition on a recordable DVD, just in case you accidental format or delete your windows recovery partition.

Step 3

You need to ascertain that you have all the driver and software disks to install the necessary hardware drivers and programs respectively. Many people may not have their software or driver disks handy, due to the fact that they bought second-hand or pre-used laptops. You can always check the internet for relevant drivers and software programs. Note! It's important you download the right system drivers for your laptop, as installing the wrong ones will make your Laptops to malfunction. Don't store system drivers on your hard drive, instead, store them on removable disks or other removable storage devices.

5tep 4

It’s time to backup all the valuable data you have stored on your laptop. For many of us, this process may look tedious or cumbersome because of the vast number of files we have on our laptops. You could clone your entire hard drive on an external one using third party programs such as Clonezilla or DriveImage XML. However, you should be careful when backing up your Laptop's hard drive, especially if you suspect that a computer virus is behind your Laptop's present predicament. If you suspect a virus, it's advisable to avoid carrying out a complete backup of your hard drive. Rather, backup files you can completely vouch for such as Word processor files and spreadsheets, even these aren’t safe to backup with the kind of malicious programs we have these days.

Step 5

Now, it's time to take the bold step. Insert your recovery or windows installation disk and hit the restart button. You might not actually hit the restart button. Just reboot the laptop using the usual procedures. Laptops with Windows recovery partition should follow the same procedures, but immediately after the restart, they should hit the shortcut displayed on the screen. You'll need to follow the Windows installation instructions on the scr

Humility my lady

She is always at the church premises by 6am wearing some faded jeans, an old T shirt and some slippers. She always comes to clean the chapel and arrange the seats. For six years she has never missed a single Sunday coming to clean the place. On this faithful day a young man walked into the chapel while she was still cleaning. He went and sat down watching as the lady cleaned. He was impressed that a lady who looked quite good even in the old cloths and a scarf over her hair could be so dedicated to her work in church. He thought within himself that this was an unfortunate lady who probably had not gotten anyone to take care of her schooling and now she would probably be an orange seller or some petty trader struggling to make ends meet. He watched and within his heart he felt he now knew what God wanted him to do. When he had felt a compulsion to come very early to church he had not understood but now he thought he did. He went back to his car and took out two 50 cedis notes and when the lady finished her work and was about to leave he called her and commended her for her service and gave her the notes. She respectfully declined the gift but he insisted pressing it into her hands. He asked if she lived close by or if he could go drop her so she would not be late. She thanked him and told him that her car was nearby, but he did not comprehend or even try to understand what she had just said. He walked her out determined to find out all he could about this lady that God wanted him to help change her level. They walked out of the chapel with him telling her where he worked and how God had asked him to come early to church that day and how he believed God is directing him to help make a big difference in her life. He was so busy talking he had not realized they had walked directly to a car parked under some trees in the parking lot. The car made his one year old Benz look like a worn out wheel barrow. The lady opened the driver’s door stepped in and handed over her card to the man and said, “I believe God sent you here for a purpose, but I do not think it was to change my level, May be it was to change yours.” I am tempted to say it took a forklift to shut the young man's mouth and move him from the place he was glued to as the lady drove off. God had a purpose for bringing him to church that morning and that purpose was to teach him humility which he learnt well because now two people always clean the chapel when everyone fails to show up. Many times we think so highly of ourselves that where God sends us to learn we go trying to teach. We may be men created in the image of God but at one time ants shall be the professors seeking to impart knowledge to us only if we are humble enough to learn.
Stay blessed, be humble, trust and obey

Amazing Facts about Kissing

The word #kiss was derived from the Old English word ‘cyssan’ which means to kiss. While no one really knows how the term ‘cyssan’ came into the scene but people believe that it has to do something with the kind of noise the mouths make. Now, as far as the scholarly world of the Greeks are concerned, they didn’t even have a word for kissing though they did have a lot many word related to love (‘eros’ – as you may already have heard, is the most passionate kind of love). Their Roman brothers are far ahead in this concern because they have several different names attributed to different kind of kisses. A passionate kiss was called ‘saviolum’, a kiss on the closed mouth was called ‘osculum’, kiss on the cheek or hand was called ‘osculum’ etc.

How Did It Start & Eventually Spread?

Nobody knows it for sure. There are only theories, some arguing that kissing is an instinctive urge while others argue that it’s a learned process. Indian Vedic scriptures has sometimes mentioned kissing (like ‘touching with the mouth’) which has prompted some historians to believe that following Alexander The Great’s invasion into India, the practise of ‘touching with the mouth’ spread throughout the world.

Some attribute the origin of ‘kiss on the mouth’ to mothers who chew up food in their own mouths and pass it into the mouths of their babies. The concept is called ‘kiss feeding’ and is dominantly observed in birds.

10 % Of The Human Race Doesn’t Kiss

There are various reasons behind it. For instance, the Eskimos show their affection towards each other not by kissing but rubbing their noses, not because they fear their mouth getting frozen but because their mouths are usually covered. So they use the immediate exposed part of the face. Today, while 90 % of the world kisses, there are places in Sudan where people believe that the human soul can escape through the mouth so they refuse kissing on the mouth for fear of losing their souls to the kisser. For the last 18 million years the inhabitants of the Mangaia Island had lived without ever knowing how to kissing until the 1700s, when the English set foot into the island.

Some Countries Dictate People Not To Kiss

Public kissing is prohibited in some countries. An unfortunate instance had occurred in Mexico where a university professor named Manuel Berumen was arrested for kissing his wife in public. Back in 2010 a man in Saudi Arabia was sentenced to 30 sets of lashes and four months of prison for kissing and embracing a woman.

World Record For Longest Kiss

The current record holder of 2013 Ripley’s Believe It Or Not ‘longest kiss’ is Thailand’s Laksana & Ekkachai Tiranarat who held on to each other with their lips locked for 58 hours, 35 minutes and 58 seconds (seriously!!!). They must have burned a lot of calories. Studies have shown that an average human being during the course of his/her life time kisses for only 336 hours and thereby manages to burn 30,240 calories (the kiss here refers to serious had-core kiss and not a simple peck on the cheek).

Kissing Regularly Can Help Resists Cheating

Scientists suspect that one of the culprits behind individuals cheating on their partners is a chemical called ‘dopamine’ which oozes throughout the body while kissing. Dopamine makes people lusty and affects the brains in the same areas as the cocaine does. As days pass by and the charm of a relationship fades away, people start looking elsewhere to consummate their extremely powerful feelings.

Now, don’t become too sad for there’s a solution to this. Kissing someone regularly with whom you’ve been living for a long time releases a chemical called ‘oxytocin’ that eases the mind and spreads a strong sense of peace. Kissing everyday is most certainly the road to high level happiness.

Animals Kiss Too!

Kissing seems to be a universally recognized affectionate behaviour, for animals do it too (though not exactly the way we do it). Primates as well as not-primates have demonstrated kiss-like behaviour. Chimpanzees often kiss each other after a fight, a gesture that seems to call for ‘kiss and make-up’ strategy. Elephants have often been observed entangling their trunks together; sometimes they strike each other’s mouth with their trunk. These are affectionate and consolatory movements similar to kissing.

Kissing Has Health Benefits

This is definitely good news. Researchers agree that kissing has more health benefits than health risks (that doesn’t mean you’d go and kiss a sick man or women and expect to be healthier after that). During the act of kissing, some useful identical bacteria’s gets exchanged between the kissers therefore boosting their immunity system. Not just that, the excitement experienced causes dilution of blood vessels and lowers the blood pressure. The extra saliva produced in the mouth can wash away bacteria around the teeth, making it healthier and shinier.

Philematology – The Study Of Kissing

Why do we kiss? The study revolves around this question, among other things. The saying, that the first kiss can make or break your relationship is scientifically hailed as true. Researchers in the field opine that the first time you kiss a particular person, you become aware of certain sensory vibes such as taste, smell and sound. If the vibes fail to impress than that’s the end of the relationship. In a study, as many as 66% of women and 59 % of men have admitted of find the other person less attractive after a bad kissing sessions. Another study reveals that women are more eager to kiss than their male partners.

And why does it feel so good to kiss? It’s because our lips are full of nerves that are connected with majority of our body parts. Kiss is something that we can be felt through our whole body.

Kissing Phobia – Facts About Kissing

While most of us experience butterflies-fluttering-in-the-tummy-moment while kissing or before kissing, for some, fear of kissing – called philemaphobia – is a serious business. There can be several reasons behind philemaphobia, for instance traumatic experiences like rape, molestation or any kind of physical abuse can lead to the dread. People often fear being afflicted by some kind of disease thanks to the germs that has travelled into them while kissing. And sometimes we’ve no idea why we fear kissing (may be its just nervous fear of making a fool out of yourself). But the good news is that with experience all jitters of kiss fades away.

Before You Take Canned Drinks Again, Read This!!

On Sunday, a family went picnic with a tin can and a few drinks. Monday, two members of the family are admitted to the hospital and placed in the intensive care unit.

They died on Wednesday. The autopsy concluded that they were beaten by the ‘leptospirosis’.

The virus sticks to the cans, is invisible without the use of glasses / lenses grossisants. The results of the tests showed that Tin had been infected by the urine of mice which had dried. The urine contained ‘Leptospira i’. It is therefore recommended to rinse the cans and cans also before using the content.

Systematic and mandatory. The cans and cans are usually stored in the warehouse and delivered directly to retail without study of cleanliness.

It has been shown that the top of the cans and canned is more contaminated than public toilets (full of germs and bacteria). Therefore, clean them with water before putting in the mouth to completely avoid these accidents.

The Creator of Email is Dead

Ray Tomlinson, the creator of email and the first to widely use the ‘@’ symbol has died at the age of 74 today after suffering a heart attack. In 1971, he was the first person to send an email and chose the ‘@’ sign to separate his username from the web address. Tomlinson was an American programmer who sent the email through ARPANET, a predecessor to the modern internet. Among the first to mourn his death was Gmail, tweeting:
Coworkers of Ray say that he was humble and never boastful even though he held many awards and was even inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame. Email and the ‘@’ sign forever revolutionized the way that people communicate and how business is done all over the world. In an interview with NPR, Tomlinson described why he chose the ‘@’ symbol by saying, “it’s the only preposition on the keyboard.”

Back in the day when email was invented, very few people used the internet, let alone communicated using the technology. However Tomlinson saw that there would become a need for stored communication through means other than the telephone recording machine, which was expensive at the time.
While the invention of email may seem like a big deal, Ray says the “first email is completely forgettable” according to his interview in 2009.  The news of his passing is tragic and perhaps puts into perspective how old the internet is becoming. We are no longer living in an age where constant communication and information availability is a novelty. Rather the internet has become the modern way of life, and many alive today don’t know of a time without it.

In times of loss, it is often good to reflect back on who the man was and even what he has done. A video of Ray’s acceptance speech into the Internet Hall of Fame in 2012 can be seen below.

Communication throughout the entire world has been changed forever by the programming ability and inventions stemming back to Ray Tomlinson. He will be missed.

How To Get Your Song Published For Free On tooAmple

I know we have a lot of people in this house thinking about venturing passively or strongly, which ever the case into music.
I did some research for you. There are numerous ways to promote your works on the Internet. Here is one to get you started. Happy Sunday!!

First of all, we do not charge to have your song on tooAmple.

To get your song on tooAmple is quite straightforward and easy. We put up artists songs on our website for free and these are the things we will need to put up your song.

Audio file format in .mp3

The audio file MUST be in .mp3 as it is the web standard for audio files, compatible with all browsers and audio players.

If the audio file has meta-tags, they should not have tags containing another website. You can edit the meta-tags by going to the Properties of the song. Even better, fill in the meta-tags section of the audio file with the proper information of Artist Name, Song Title, Year of Release. The Comments field should have www.360nobs.com and if the song does not belong to an album, populate that field with ‘www.360nobs.com’ as well.

The official artwork

An artwork will be needed when submitting your music. While the norm is for most cover art for song releases to be of a square dimension, we always edit song artwork to be rectangular. Some of the specific dimensions we use are 800X800, 600X600 (even though this is being phased out). Submitting a cover art in one of these dimensions lessens the work for the publisher and still ensures that your cover art remains attractive (assuming it was, in the first place).

A friendly advice is, get a professional to do the artwork for your song. It helps in your song getting clicks.

A song description/bio

Also attach a short description of the song you need published. Some details you can include is the concept of the song, what it means (especially if the words are not in English), and the name of the producer. Aim to give information without overburdening the person looking to download the song. Short and straight to the point is the best approach, as a lot of people checking out the post might be hearing you of the first time. You do not want to get them bored and dissuade them from clicking download.

You can also include a short bio of yourself and your social media channels where our interested readers can connect with you.

While we will definitely edit, still ensure that your song description/bio is well written in English, contains no glaring grammatical errors and unnecessary exaggerations. Also write as if you are addressing an audience from a neutral position.

NB: We request for song descriptions and bios from upcoming artists because we likely do not know you and getting this information is a hassle. For established, well-known artists, this is not necessary.

Send

Send the collective information to tooample@gmail.com or to our music publishers at tooample@yahoo.com. Any email or contacts asides these is not from us and we will not be held liable for any fraudulent activity. Please be warned.

Remember to include the artwork and audio file as attachments while putting the song description/bio in the body of the email.

All we ask from you is to share the tooAmple link to your song the most

Songs that gather the most views based on their initial momentum are publicized for free to our huge social media following, therefore resulting in more publicity for the artist. Who knows? You could even get enough downloads to be ranked on our charts alongside top Nigerian artists.

Good luck and God bless your hustle.

List Of 20 Items You Can Export From Nigeria And Make Dollars
Exports From Nigeria

1. Ginger

This is one of the most traded spices in the world which Nigeria happens to be among the largest producers. Why we are not exporting this in large quantity is beyond me. You can start a Trans-Sahara or Trans-Atlantic trade with this goods and be making dollars on regular basis. Garlic is on top of the list of items you can export from Nigeria.

2. Palm Kernel Oil

This is the oil extracted from the pulp of palm fruit which is different from palm oil. Palm Kernel Oil is used for the manufacturing of various cosmetics, pharmaceutical products and confectioneries. The uses of this oil is broad and the mineral contents are said to be rich in protein for various uses. Nigeria has it quantum and makes dollars exporting it to other countries of the world.

3. Textiles and Garments

This industry alone generates close to $32bn as revenue from export from Nigeria. It is also a fact that unlike other products that battles with high strict rules of tests, Nigeria’s textiles enjoy duty free passage into United States where it has the largest markets in the world because of its unique designs, ethnic African designs and quality.

4. Cocoa Butter

This is the real sources of chocolates of all types. The fruits of Cocoa is the end products of various skin care products, health products, and pharmaceutical products. The demands of Cocoa is very high in both America and UK and that is why cocoa farming is very essential on its own.

5. Gallstone

This is a clay-like solid substance gotten from gallbladder of matured cow and oxen. The size could be as big as chicken egg, it’s a hotcake for foreign pharmaceuticals because they use it for medical purposes. If one could lay his hand a good quantity of well dried gallstone about 100g that is well packaged, ready buyers are waiting for it at either Asian or American markets to give you dollars.

6. Rubber

Nigeria has put in place some proper Central Testing Laboratories to ensure that only certified products leave the country for Europe and America which are in dire needs of the product. Nigeria happens to be a significant producer of Rubber. A cubit meter of fine quality rubber goes for between $400 and $600 presently because of the instability of dollar rate in the market.

7. Sesame Seed

This may sound a bit strange if you are not from the area where it is produced in the country like Benue and Jigawa states in Nigeria. This product ranks second to cocoa in terms of export volumes and foreign exchange earnings. Nigeria is the 5th largest producer of this commodity and shipping it into foreign countries brings dollars exchange.

8. Honey

Pure honey is another export commodity from Nigeria to other countries. Presently, a kilogram of honey costs above $150 in the international markets. Pure natural honey contains well trace enzymes as sugar, mineral, vitamins and amino acids. A litre of honey can fetch good dollars in the foreign market.

9. Shrimps

The Niger Delta region in Nigeria is blessed with rich organic deposits of Shrimps. The demands of Shrimps is high in countries like Portugal, France, Belgium, Spain, Europe and USA.

10. Garlic

Garlic is a cash crop which is grown under irrigation by farmers in the Savanna areas in Nigeria. With internationally certified good quantities of garlic, you are sure of foreign hard currencies.

11. Yam Tubers

Nigeria is presently the highest producers of yam. In 2009 alone, yam export accounted for about US$450 million exchange. But due to low quality it’s saddening to know that the country is not maximizing its export potentials of this products. So there is need for prospective exporters of yam to foreign countries to adhere to quality regulations that is guarding the process. Yam farmers must take this into consideration and tap from this opportunity.

12. Charcoal

This is at the fore front in the international market. This product which is produced in good quantity in Nigeria with now perfected technology, has about 50% ROI.Even an individual can own a charcoal production outfit and have exporters shipping it for him. A large market for charcoal exists in ASIA, EU, and USA. A tone of this product goes for about $1000.

13. Cotton

This sector recently received a boost from the National Cotton Association of Nigeria (NACOTAN) of N33 million to rehabilitate it. Cotton is the most natural sources of fiber and is demanded internationally.

14. Cassava Flour

Already we know that Cassava is food for all in Nigeria because of various methods of preparing it. There is need for this in the foreign markets as the demands of well processed cassava flour is increasing both in Europe, Middle East and in America.

15. Cashew Nuts
Almost every part of the country has the potential to produce this international commodity. Great quantity of unprocessed raw cashew nuts are exported to India, Brazil and Vietnam where they are processed into kernels and moved to the Northern America and Europe where they are sold for about $2 per pound. The demands are on increase for the consuming countries.
16. Snail

If you can produce snails in good quantity, there is a ready market for you. Snails are hotcake in European Countries and America. The good thing about this is that it is very easy to rear as it produces rapidly with close to nothing in expenditures for feeding.
17. Chili Pepper

Nigeria is blessed with good weather which supports the proper growths and production of this internationally accepted pepper. If you can grow and source for the export opportunities, you are sure to get it.
18. Fruit Juice

It may sound somewhat strange to the hearing of many that Nigeria provide export opportunity for fruit juice concentrates. Yes, we have it because Nigeria can boast of so many naturally grown fruits all over the country which provides the best of fruit juice productions of great quantities. The opportunity for Nigerian fruits export is huge in USA.
19. Poultry

Forget about the facts that some greedy Nigerians go about smuggling chicken into the country. When we talk about poultry, it involves all domestic birds, egg or meat.
Nigeria poultry farm products are still highly needed both within Africa and Western countries because Nigerian weather conditions for poultry farming still remains the best compared to other countries. Poultry products export from Nigeria is an avenue that is still highly untapped.
20. Cosmetics and Soap

Nigeria has grown in this very important area but the only challenge that is holding us back is procurement of good technology to produce this in great quantity to compete favorably with other developed countries.
Soap making, which extends to other toiletries, laundries and so on are already export opportunity waiting to be invested heavily in.
Nigeria has big market in soap industry already which other neighboring countries travels thousands of kilometers to get in big quantities to sell in their countries for good profits. If that area is properly looked into, the investment opportunities are still virgin and if well harnessed, could mean a huge opportunity for foreign exchange to further improve the underused avenues of cosmetics and soap industry in the country.
If the exporters from Nigeria could strictly follow the rules guiding export from Nigeria, more avenues can be opened up for others who are aspiring to join in making export from Nigeria available to other countries around the world for some good exchange rates that would mean more job creation.

The Next Sexual Revolution? A Look at the Estimated Millions of People Exploring Open Marriages For many couples, the idea of monogamy is evolving. Is it open season on sex outside of commitment?

For the first time in history, more Americans are single (50.2 percent) than married. But for those who do tie the knot, the general idea is still the same: You're now emotionally and sexually exclusive with your partner. Even if you never marry but have long- term relationships, monogamy is usually part of the unspoken agreement.
That's starting to change. "Monogamy is no longer going to define marriage," predicts couples therapist Tammy Nelson, Ph.D., author of The New Monogamy: Redefining Your Relationship After Infidelity, who says she's seeing more couples experimenting with open relationships (in which a couple decides what sexual activities outside their relationship are fair game) and polyamory (having actual romantic relationships outside a primary commitment). It's not cheating or "looking the other way," but having relationships or encounters with the consent and support of your partner.
While it's impossible to know exactly how many U.S. couples are consensually nonmonogamous, estimates range from 1.2 to 2.4 million, Elisabeth Sheff, author of The Polyamorists Next Door, wrote last year in Psychology Today. Couples have made "agreements" since marriage was invented, but as open relationships become more established in popular culture—some Hollywood couples have talked about theirs; two of last summer's indie comedies (The Overnightand While We Were Young) featured subplots centered on nonmonogamy—more people are comfortable coming out about their lifestyle.
"MANY PEOPLE IN THEIR 20S AND 30S ARE CHILDREN OF DIVORCE, AND THEY WANT A DIFFERENT CODE OF HONESTY."
It sounds counterintuitive, but many people practicing nonmonogamy see it as a way to preserve their relationship, not implode it, says Esther Perel, marriage therapist and author of Mating in Captivity: Unlocking Erotic Intelligence, whose TED talks on marriage and infidelity have been collectively viewed more than 10 million times. "Many people in their 20s and 30s are children of divorce, and they want a different code of honesty," she says. "The idea of consensual nonmonogamy is in service of the longevity of the couple: 'With this, we can avoid lying, cheating.' They're taking the concept of sexual freedom inside the marriage."
Below, three happily married couples in open relationships explain how they, well, do it.

The Modern Family

The Couple: Nicole Sharette, 38, and Luke Sharette, 35. LOCATION: Eugene, Oregon.
Status: Married for 12 years.
Kids: Six.
Our Arrangement: "I'm a stay-at-home mom. Outside of our sex lives, we're a traditional family. Luke has casual hookups; I have long-term relationships. I've had one boyfriend for eight years, another for three, and I've dated a couple for four. We go out anywhere from every three months to three times a month."
How It Began: "I've always wanted to do this. When we first got together, Luke was very vanilla [sexually], and that slowly changed. I said, 'Wouldn't it be nice to enjoy this with others?' He came around to it, then we talked for a year. First I just dated women, and Luke realized that I wasn't going to leave. When he had his first experience, he saw that my feelings wouldn't get hurt."
The Rules: "We used to have rules about who we could and couldn't sleep with (like, I didn't want him to hook up with my best friend). Now we don't, except that we have safe sex with everyone else. Luke doesn't tell me how often I can go out, and I don't tell him. We just respect each other."
"WE USED TO HAVE RULES ABOUT WHO WE COULD AND COULDN'T SLEEP WITH (LIKE, I DIDN'T WANT HIM TO HOOK UP WITH MY BEST FRIEND). NOW WE DON'T."
Jealous Much? "I like the feeling. Jealousy excites me."
The Good: "We don't get bored with each other. It makes us communicate and grows our trust, love, attraction, and appreciation for each other. It also keeps us both feeling young, which is hard when you have a lot of kids."
The Bad: "We have kids in their late teens. When they were younger, they saw Luke out with another woman and thought he was cheating. We explained that we love each other but we have other friends. They get it now. They're also very monogamous and paranoid about cheating."

The Poly Partners

The Couple: KC, 34, and Marissa, 31.
Location: New York City.
Status: Together for three years, married since September. KIDS: Zero.
Our Arrangement: KC: "We have a circle of polyamorous friends. We have sexual interactions with them at parties, either together or separately. Or we'll have friends over and one thing will lead to another—but then they go home." Marissa: "We don't have other romantic partners."
"WE DON'T HAVE OTHER ROMANTIC PARTNERS."
How It Began: Marissa: "KC and I have both tried open relationships, but this is the first time it has worked out well. We started our relationship like this. Going from monogamy to nonmonogamy is very difficult, especially between people with disparate levels of relationship experience and insecurity."
The Rules: KC: "I wouldn't want either of us to hook up with someone who expected more than what we've offered." Marissa: "Or if we know they're emotionally unstable."
Bilateral Support: Marissa: "I'm bisexual, so I still get to explore that. KC might say, 'You're talking about dudes a lot lately. Do you want to make some calls?' "KC: "People have different sex drives and ways of connecting. If you thrive on that, to shut off that part of yourself can be suffocating, even if you have a good sex life with your partner."
The Good: KC: "You can be yourself and not constantly self-monitor." Marissa: "You're not afraid that the other person is going to stray. Why would they?"
The Bad: KC: "I'm not out to my family. When I tried to talk about being in an open relationship, it got dismissed: 'Oh, it must not be serious.' If we're not romantically involved with others, my sex life isn't my parents' business."

The Lawmakers

The Couple: Susan Coates, 43, and Taj Moore, 40.
Location: Denver.
Status: Together eight years, married for four years.
Kids: One.
Our Arrangement: "Taj sees someone every week and talks to her daily. She's married and has a child. I also have a weekly date with someone who has another partner and kids. I see other partners intermittently."
How It Began: "When we first met, I had been in a relationship steeped in jealousy and wanted to explore an open relationship. Taj said, 'Yeah, I'm curious, too.' We sat down to check in before his first date. I said, 'I'm OK if you give her a kiss.' Afterward, we did a play-by-play. It took quite awhile before I was OK with him having sex with another person."
The Rules: "Taj and I check in before each date. At the beginning, this was very lengthy. Now it's just a text: 'Are there any parameters?' If our relationship is struggling, we'll simmer it down and not date much."
Terms of Disclosure: "When I'm out with my other partner, we talk about Taj a lot. There might be an intimate moment that feels special with someone else, but if it feels like I'm withholding from Taj, I question why."
"IF THERE'S SOMETHING MY PRIMARY PARTNER CAN'T GIVE ME—MAYBE I'M DRAWN TO SOMEONE WITH A DIFFERENT SENSE OF HUMOR—I DON'T HAVE TO COMPARTMENTALIZE."
The Good: "I learn a lot about myself, because relationships with different people bring out other parts of me. If there's something my primary partner can't give me—maybe I'm drawn to someone with a different sense of humor—I don't have to compartmentalize."
The Bad: "Since what we're doing is generally taboo, we've lost friends because there's a lot of judgment. We don't hide, and there are people who seem pretty uncomfortable when they find out."

WEDDING DAY FAILS THAT WILL MAKE YOU..

It’s the biggest day of your life… No, not the Super Bowl final where your team FINALLY wins, We’re talking about a person’s wedding day. Everyone you know and love is gathering together to watch you and your soul mate tie the knot and dedicate your lives to each other. So you want to make sure that everything goes to plan – there are hundreds of people there and a fail of any kind is going to potentially ruin the whole thing. Or at least be pretty embarrassing. That’s why people pay so much money and plan things with such military precision. The fifteen instances we’ve got for you here though, had zero precision. These are wedding fails. But not as you know it…
Wedding Day

Your wedding day. A special twenty four hours where every woman thinks back to when she was a girl and dreamed of her big day. About how she glided down the aisle like a princess. In a tiara, beautiful shoes and an awe-inspiring dress. Not many young girls dream of having 36 FF boobs spilling out of their pretty lacy little wedding dresses, though… This girl will certainly distract the priest!.

Wedding Day

Ah, the beach wedding. A lovely idea in theory, but often it doesn’t turn out quite as nice in reality. Sand blows everywhere, the weather turns, the tide comes in… A crazy man in the world’s smallest thong runs around taking photographs and spoiling all of your professional shots. Hang on, unless that actually is the wedding photographer. Wow, if he is, they’re in for a Helluva day.

Wedding Day

Now, we’re not sure that this kind of wedding has a name. But if it doesn’t, perhaps it should have. ‘Shotgun Wedding’ is already taken, so we’ll have to think of something else. ‘Texas Wedding’ is probably a fairly good moniker for it. Imagine how tough the groom would have to be to go up against – sorry, we mean ‘marry’ – this gun-toting broad. He’s a brave, brave man (who’s probably going to get shot one day).

Wedding Day (3)
Maybe we can forgive this groom for his wandering hands here in this wedding day fail. Let’s be kind to him and say that he just became momentarily confused when he put out his hand out for a bit of butt-grabbing action. It’s a stressful day, maybe he didn’t get a lot of sleep… Who knows? You know, he’s definitely not a low-down dirty butt-grabbing cheat. No way. *ahem*

Wedding Day (4)

How has this guy managed to confuse the tradition of throwing a handful of confetti or rice at a newly married couple and the idea of just hoying a cup of hot coffee over them? Maybe he Irish’d up that coffee before sipping, because he’s got this badly wrong. This fail was shot approximately 0.002 seconds before he completely and utterly ruined this couple’s day entirely. What a moment.

Wedding Day (5)
Let’s be polite and imagine for a second that this couple didn’t actually instruct their cake maker to make a cake in the shape of something that comes out of the back end of a dog. So we’ve discounted that – what the Heck is this thing supposed to be? A melting beehive and a giant maggot?! We’ve no idea. Whatever it is, the couple clearly like it, so we shouldn’t laugh too much. Bless them.

Wedding Day (6)

Here we see another beach wedding and a fantastic example of another thins that can go just so wrong with them. The warm weather affords the luxury of picking out some slightly less formal wedding day wear. Which is okay if you’re opting for a short-sleeved shirt and sandals, but these guys are just being silly. Bow ties and denim cut-offs? Really? These photos will NOT be looking good in the future, will they? They look pretty dreadful now, after all!
@@@@@@@@@@

Wedding Day (7)
Does this kid remind you of the youngster from The Omen, Damian? He does us. It must be the haircut. Well, that and the evil look in his eye. And in his middle finger. While we wouldn’t want to judge someone based on one small little action, you have to imagine that this newlywed couple are going to have one or two little issues with this young fella, aren’t they? Let’s just hope it doesn’t turn out that he’s the devil, huh?
@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Wedding Day (8)

The classic idea of the perfect wedding dress, just picture it. Are you picturing it? Good. Now is it huge at the bottom (like Nicki Minaj)? Of course it is, that’s how they are. Tricky, to say the least, to maneuver when you’re wearing one and have to use the bathroom. So oftentimes you’ll need to recruit help. As in get a friend to help you out. We don’t mean recruit literally. That’s no job for anyone!
Wedding Day (9)
One surefire way to ensure that you won’t have your wedding day ruined by your nerves is to make sure you relax as much as possible before walking down the aisle. If you like jogging, you could have a quick run to release stress. If you’re a smoker, you could have a quick smoke. If you enjoy a little drink to calm the nerves, you could have a small glass of wine. Or go crazy like this bride!
@@@@@@@@@

Wedding Day (10)
In a lot of towns throughout the world, the newspaper announcement of local weddings is still very much a thing. So you have to watch out if you and your other half have weird names that don’t work well together! To avoid this huge fail you could either buy up every newspaper in town and burn it or try and bribe the announcement writer with an invite. Failing that, you could cancel your marriage.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Wedding Day (11)
What’s a bride’s worst nightmare? Not fitting into her dress on the big day? A fight at the reception? Being jilted?! How about the groom? What’s his worst nightmare? For 99% of them, regardless of how old they are or where they live in the world, it’ll be the mother-in-law. And this photograph demonstrates that perfectly. The specter of the ‘outlaw’ is ever-present, you have to learn how to control her…
@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Wedding Day (12)
This fail is yet another example of brilliant timing when it comes to the cameraman. This snapper was really on his game here as he or she has managed to capture disaster as it strikes. It’s so ‘in motion’ that the bride hasn’t even had time to adjust her facial expression from ‘Happy Wife’ to ‘Really Quite Upset Wife Who’s Trying To Pretend She Thinks It’s Funny That Their Cake Is Now Ruined’.
@@@@@@@@@@
Wedding Day (13)
This picture went viral a while back and had a few people laughing, but hey – call it a fail if you like, but love’s love, right? This guy might weigh 100lbs and his new wife four times that, but if they’re happy, what gives us the right to scoff? Looks like they got married on a lake too, which is nice. Let’s stop being so cynical and wish them all the best. And also ignore the fact that we still featured them so are implicit in this whole thing.
@@@@@@@@@
Wedding Day (14)
Here’s why you should always be careful to make sure there are no Sharpies in pockets when you put a wash on. It’s a disaster. Hang on, no – they’re words, aren’t they? That means these people haveintentionally scribbled all over their wedding dress and, well, that’s not a shirt, is it? It’s a tee. A wedding tee. And wedding jeans. Wow, that is one informal wedding!

18+ Shocking Sexual Traditions from around the World PART 1

From a tribe of semen-drinking men to the community of brothers sharing a wife, amaze yourself with these 10 shocking tribal sex traditions from around the world.

The Sambians: The semen-drinking tribe - Papua, New Guinea

The Sambians: The semen-drinking tribe - Papua, New Guinea
To become a man in this primitive tribe, boys are removed from the presence of all females at the age of seven, living with other males for ten years. During the ten years, the skin is pierced to remove any contamination brought upon by women. For the same reason, they also regularly incur nose-bleeding and vomiting caused by consuming large amounts of sugarcane.

To top it off, they are required to ingest the semen of their elders, which is thought to sustain growth and strength. When they are finally introduced back into the tribe, they continue to engage in nose-bleeding at the same time as their wives' menstrual cycles. (Source 1 | Source 2)

The Mardudjara: Intimate cutting rituals to achieve manhood - Australia

The Mardudjara: Intimate cutting rituals to achieve manhood - Australia
The first portion of this Mardudjara Aboriginal rite involves a barbaric circumcision followed by the circumcised male ingesting his own foreskin. After he heals up, the penis is then cut lengthwise on the underside, sometimes all the way to the scrotum. Blood is then dripped over a fire in order to purify it. From then on, the male will urinate from the underside of his penis instead of the urethra. The real question, however, is how does destroying a boy's 'manhood' bring him into manhood? (Source)

The Trobrianders : The tribe where kids start having sex at 6 – Papua, New Guinea

The Trobrianders : The tribe where kids start having sex at 6 – Papua, New Guinea
These islanders from a remote tribe in Papua guinea seem like a case study in the ultimate consequences of the sexual revolution: girls want sex just as much as guys, and kids start having sex at a very young age — 6-8 for the girls and 10-12 for the guys — with no social stigma. There are few customs about dating to inhibit “hooking up” and, of course, revealing clothing has been taken to its limit, with girls actually going topless.

However, while everybody is having sex whenever they want, premarital meal-sharing is a big no-no. You're not supposed to go out for dinner together until after you get married.

Saut d'Eau: The city where you may witness rituals of voodoo and love - Haiti
If you travel to Haiti and visit the waterfalls of Saut d'Eau during the month of July, you may witness quite a risqué ritual. Voodoo practitioners make this journey each summer to worship the goddess of love. Pretty normal stuff, right?

Wrong. Picture a bunch of buck-naked people twisting and wriggling around in mud mixed with the blood of sacrificed animals, with cow and goat heads thrown into the mix. I'm sure there's nothing like it if you're an exhibitionism lover. (Source)

The Nepalese: A community where brothers share a wife - The Himalayas

The Nepalese: A community where brothers share a wife - The Himalayas
According to an article in Psychology Today, “Almost all of the few polyandrous societies practice what anthropologists call fraternal polyandry, where a group of brothers share a wife." This is the case in the Himalayas, where there is little land available for farming and agriculture, and families with more than one son would be faced with dividing up their land were each son to start his own family.

The solution? Find one wife for all of their sons so that they can live together as one family and keep their family plot intact. Also, as told in the National Geographic documentaryMultiple Husbands, this arrangement works best when the wife is adept at "scheduling" time with each brother. (Source)

Th Wodaabee: The tribe were men steal each other's wives - Niger
In the Wodaabe tribe of Niger in West Africa, men are known to steal each other's wives. The Wodaabe's first marriage is arranged by their parents in infancy and must be between cousins of the same lineage. However, at the yearly Gerewol Festival, Wodaabe men wear elaborate makeup and costumes and dance to impress the women – and hopefully steal a new wife.

If the new couple is able to steal away undetected (especially from a current husband who may not want to part with his wife), then they become socially recognized. These subsequent marriages are called love marriages. (Source)

Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs: The pharaohes who would practice public masturbation

Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs: The pharaohes who would practice public masturbation
According to Sex and Society, "even the ebb and flow of the Nile was thought to be caused by Atum's (the god of creation) ejaculation. This concept spurred the Egyptian pharaohs to ritually masturbate into the Nile to ensure an abundance of water."

The ancient Egyptians were so inspired by the act of self-stimulation that at the festival of the god Min, who represented Pharaoh's sexual potency, men masturbated in public. (Source)

Ancient Greece: Where homosexuality was completely out of the closet

Ancient Greece: Where homosexuality was completely out of the closet
The ancient Greeks did not conceive of sexual orientation as a social identifier the way Western societies have done for the past century. Greek society did not distinguish sexual desire or behavior by the gender of the participants, but rather by the role that each participant played in the sex act, that of the active penetrator or the passive penetrated.

This active/passive polarization corresponded with dominant and submissive social roles: the active (penetrative) role was associated with masculinity, higher social status, and adulthood, while the passive role was associated with femininity, lower social status, and youth. (Source)

Ancient Greece: When pederasty was the social convention

Ancient Greece: When pederasty was the social convention
The most common form of same-sex relationships between males in Greece was "paiderastia" meaning "boy love." It was a relationship between an older male and an adolescent youth. A boy was considered a "boy" until he was able to grow a full beard. In Athens, the older man was called erastes, and he was to educate, protect, love, and provide a role model for his eromenos, whose reward for him lay in his beauty, youth, and promise.

To love a boy below the age of twelve was considered inappropriate, but no evidence exists of any legal penalties attached to this sort of practice. (Source)

Modern Iranian culture: Where you can have a temporary Marriage if you pay for it

Modern Iranian culture: Where you can have a temporary Marriage if you pay for it
We all know that Muslim practices are among some of the strictest regarding sexual intercourse and the relationships between men and women. For instance, Muslim couples are only allowed to have sex in the missionary position. It's considered gross and degrading for a man to ask any other position from his wife.

However, in certain Muslim countries, like Iran, a young couple who would like to have sex before they're ready to marry can request a “temporary marriage.” They are allowed to pay for a short ceremony, with a written contract dictating the amount of time they will be “married.” Once this is done, they can have sex like bunnies without contradicting Islamic law.

I know a lot of people here in America who probably wish we had something similar! (Source)
