Apply online for the DV-2018 American diversity visa lottery program also called as Green card lottery. The program will be available only in the U.S Governments official web site, during the electronic entry submission period. The program is designed to be available in the online format by the U.S State Department. This official draw is good for the people who have the required eligibility as mentioned in the DV instructions for this program. Participants of the US Green card lottery program will have the chance to get one of the 50,000 LPR Visas, if they meet all the eligibility requirements and are lucky.

Winners will be selected from the submitted entries using the computer random name selection process which will be done using the computers located at the KCC in the USA.

The online application forms will be available once it is opened in 2016 and it will be kept open up to 30 days in the department's official website.

US State Department will only announce the opening and closing dates of the 2018 fiscal year US green card lottery program in the media along with the other important information and Instructions for the participants.

After downloading the online application form it should be submitted back in the website within the given 60 minutes of time from the time you had accepted it from the official web site.

You or someone on behalf of you can submit the entry form, but you are the one responsible for the submitted information regardless of who had submitted your entry in to the program. You can use any of the internet connected PC, Laptop, Tablet or Smartphone to download, fill and submit your application form, if you feel comfortable to use that device. They recommend filling the form with English language fonts and don't use Icelandic fonts. The electronic form can't be saved in your computer and used on a later time.

Submit the application form early as there may be rush near to the closing date and some time you may not possible to see the application form. So it is better to participate early to avoid disappointment.

Also take note a person can submit only one online entry with his name as primary applicant with his/her (image) photo file.

If you are not married, then play as a single person as it is not necessary to be married person to participate in the selection draw. The program is designed for both the unmarried and married people living all over the world where the married person will get an extra page for his/her spouse.
If you are interested to apply online for the DV 2018 green card lottery program, read these instructions and decide.

• Are you eligible for the program by birth?
• Or are you claiming eligibility by your spouse birth country?
• Or one of your parents birth country for eligibility?
• If no, then don't proceed with the online application form.
• Do you have the required High school education certificate?
• Or the required work experience?
• If no, then don't participate in the program.
• Are you going to include your spouse and all your children who are unmarried and under the age of 21 in the application form?

If no, don't proceed with the online application form.

If the application form is not duly filled, then it will be shown back to the applicant with the error.

There is no fee to enter the visa lottery program although the selected winners will be required to attend a visa interview by paying US$ 330 as visa processing fee.

If you are applying through any agent, ask them whether they will provide your confirmation number.

After applying for the draw, don't forget to get your confirmation number from them.

Once the web site had been closed on the pre announced closing date, you will not be able to submit one entry for the draw.

The state Department also recommends you to use the Internet Explorer (IE) 6 or higher as the DV Lottery program is supported only by this Browser.
